At the office, I volunteered to organize our team’s next company outing. The company foots the bill, but it can’t be ridiculously expensive.
In the past, the team went wall climbing, on another time it spent the afternoon at an arcade/games room. It’s still cold winter weather up here in Canada, so I’d to go with an indoor activity. The group size is around 5-10.
Any suggestions?!
My favorite game of all time is Bejeweled 2. I also like classic Tetris and card games. Arcade shooting games are fun too.
Back in the day I would play Super Mario 3 until my thumbs hurt, lol.
I also love to watch people play games like Need for Speed Underground. I don’t know why, I just like to watch people play that game.
This Black Friday I am planning on going to walmart and picking up an xbox 360 arcade bundle which includes the xbox, a wireless controller (instead of the wired one), some arcade games, sega superstar tennis (dont really care for it but w/e), and GH3 with the wireless guitar all for $200
I know the main difference between the arcade and pro is the hard drive, but my friend somehow has an extra 60 GB hardrive laying around, that he said he would give to me as an early birthday gift……..
This seems like a much better way to get an xbox 360, considering the pro is $100 +/- more…..are there any other main differences I should know? Because that $100 I’m gonna be saving, will go towards Halo3 and COD4 leaving me with 3 much more fun games, a wireless controler, and a hard drive for the same price if I go the arcade route…… This way I can get the wireless adapter and 13 month xbox live card now that I have games worth playing online.
So what do you guys think? Is there a big hidden factor that makes the two different? Are the internals the same, or will the arcade fail on me/ruin my gaming experience? Also, if it does fail like all xbox’s will eventually does it come with a waranty where I just send it back to microsoft like all my other friends do with their pro models? Thanks and sorry for the lengthy discription
(but if you thoroughly answer my Q you will be rewarded
)
Cool example of teamwork….
Arcade games are also causing a huge buzz among people who love action adventures fighting games, as people are closely paying attention to every new hot game and rushing to play it so they can taste the thrills by themselves.
Arcade games includes some great violence games that made a huge controversy around the world between this categories lovers and advocators and against them the protestors and people saying thats too much for their children to see or play.
Arguments about violent games will never end as the people who are already addicted to it needs and thrives for more games with more violence and on the other hand people are lashing a huge campaign against these kinds of games saying it will affect their kids’ attitude and behaviour and might cause them to be violent in their future while they are growing up.
A settlement was introduced for the companies, lovers and protestors of the violent games to make these games for a certain age and a bit less violent as this settlement is a compromization that both need to agree on in order to have all parties happy.
The argue is still on as nor the lovers neither the protestors will ever be happy or compromise as they are both clutching to their beliefs and demands so I think this argument will never end.
The most played and popular arcade games are counter strike and half lives, these are the highest rating online games among all people specially youth.
Arcade games are always more fun when you play them with or against either your friends or people online, in order to do that you need a high band-witch internet connection so you can enjoy the games.
Now a days the biggest buzz people are talking about and getting crazy over is online games, they are easier time saving and faster than computer games as you can still use the computer and internet when playing, they dont require high definition system software or any complicated stuff although some sophisticated strategic games needs updated strong plug ins.
A solution to this is to buy an online CMS scripting system if you wish to create your own website. Such scripts for games includes arcadescripts, php scripts, asp scripts and flash scripts. You can install this on a free hosting site and install the script. You can then install the SWF files for the games with an image and description. This will save a ton of time when looking to create a new online games website if you choose to do so.
Some kind of storyline is a must, i dont really like arcade games.
I just played Land of the Dead, which I loved for several reasons: although it was a FPS, it was not hard to find my way around, i did not ever get lost or not know where to go, i **** that in games like doom. I also love horror and blood and zombies. And of corse i love to blow stuff up!
I also love thinking games like Scratches, Phantasmagoria and Shivers.
I like to solve puzzles in games like The 7th Guest or The 11th Hour.
There used to be an old Sierra game called Dr. Brain and The Island of Dr. Brain, those were a blast.
Good graphics are not really importaint, although i dont want to feel like I am playing Atari! Horror is the best, but really im just looking for a fun game that me and my girlfriend can play while the baby is sleeping.
